US President Donald Trump on Thursday (February 19, 2025) reiterated his claim regarding ceasefire on the conflict between India and Pakistan, in which a new twist has been seen. Earlier Trump used to talk about shooting down 6-7 jets, but now he has claimed that 11 expensive jets were shot down in this war. US President Donald Trump admitted for the first time that fighter jets of both India and Pakistan were downed during Operation Sindoor. However, India has rejected Trump’s claim several times and has called it a decision taken after talks between the two countries.
Trump has established a Board of Peace to establish peace in Gaza. In the same program, Trump reiterated that he had stopped the conflict between India and Pakistan by threatening a trade deal. He said, ‘Pakistani PM said in front of our Chief of Staff that President Trump saved 25 million lives when he stopped the war between us and India.’
If you both fight, I will impose 200% tariff: Trump
The US President said, ‘The war was in full swing at that time, planes were being shot down and I spoke to both of them on the phone. I knew him a little. I knew Prime Minister Modi very well. I called them and said – Listen, if you guys can’t sort this out then I won’t do a trade deal with both of you and suddenly, we made a deal. I said, if you fight, I will impose 200 percent tariff on both of you countries.
11 expensive jets were shot down: Trump
Trump said that both India and Pakistan wanted to fight, but when it came to money, it was nothing like money, when it came to losing a lot of money, he said, I think we don’t want to fight. He claimed, ’11 jets were shot down. Very expensive jets.’
President Trump then further said, ‘Pakistan and India, this was a big event. Pakistan and India, thank you very much. I spoke to Prime Minister Modi. He is very excited. He is looking at us right now.
