Not only this, Akshay Kumar answered another question and that was whether he was working in patriotic films because he was called Canadian. During an event of India Today, Akshay Kumar spoke openly on all these issues.
I do whatever I feel like
During this, Akshay said, ‘Whatever work I do, I do not do it to create my image. I work a lot, but I do not work to create the image of a patriot. I work because I do whatever I feel like doing.
Meanwhile, talking about his Canadian passport, Akshay said, ‘Well, I have said this many times before that yes, Canadian was my passport… because there was a period in my life when 16-17 films flopped in a row. I had work but only 3-4 films were left. In such a situation, I was wondering what to do. It is not the case that people do not work outside our country, so I was also getting work in Canada, so I had planned to do a small business there.
Talking about this, Akshay Kumar further said, ‘I got my passport during that time. After that, the amazing thing was that all three of my films which were to be released became hits. After that I started getting work. I told my friend that I will not come again. I will stay in India only. Meanwhile I forgot and for me it was just a passport. I didn’t think that much.
