Regarding the gas crisis in the country, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri told in the Parliament that there are enough JPG gas cylinders in the country and there is no need for anyone to panic. He said that the government has given instructions to take important steps to stop black marketing. According to the Petroleum Minister, booking of second LPG cylinder will be done after 45 days in rural areas and after 25 days in urban areas.
India’s crude supply situation is safe: Hardeep Puri
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said in the Lok Sabha, ‘The world has never seen such a time in modern energy history. India’s crude supply position is secure and the volume is more than the volume received from Hormuz. Before the crisis, about 45 percent of India’s crude was imported through the Strait of Hormuz. “Thanks to the Prime Minister’s excellent diplomatic outreach and goodwill, India has secured as much crude volume as it could have received from the Strait of Hormuz in the same time frame.”
There is no shortage of LPG in the country: Hardeep Puri
On the LPG crisis in the country, the Union Petroleum Minister said, ‘In the last five days, LPG production has increased by 28 percent under the instructions of the refinery and further procurement is going on. The biggest priority of the Modi government is that there should be no shortage of any kind in the kitchens of 33 crore families of India, especially the poor and needy. Domestic supply is completely safe and there has been no change in the delivery cycle.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, while raising the issue of LPG in Parliament, said that restaurants are being closed. He said that there is panic regarding LPG and small traders are being affected. On this, Union Minister Hardeep Puri said, ‘This is not the time to spread rumors or make false statements. India is going through the most serious global energy disruption in history. Fruits are being supplied, gas is being given priority for homes and farms.
