According to the report of Mid Day, the team is re-shooting many parts of the film from February 2026. Work was planned for about 40 days. New sequences were shot in this revised schedule, which re-shaped the narrative. The most talked about thing that was added was a song in Chinese language (Mandarin). It has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya. When the song is finalized then it will be shot on Salman.
Let us tell you that on March 16, Salman Khan made a post saying that the name of his film will no longer be ‘Battle of Galwan’. The name of the film will now be ‘Mathrubhoomi- May War Rest in Peace’. The makers want to show the film more than a war story. He also wants to keep a human angle in it. Currently the film is to be released on 17 April 2026. However, there are reports that the film may be postponed and release in mid-August. But there is no official confirmation regarding this.
Why was the name of the film changed?
Talking about this, the film’s director Apoorva Lakhia told Hindustan Times, ‘The title of the film Badla may be sudden for Salman Khan sir’s fans. But this has not happened overnight. From the beginning we had two tiles. As we moved forward towards the journey of filmmaking, we realized that this film is not just about war. This is also about humanity.
