The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been conducting raids in 15 cities of 6 states of the country since Thursday (January 8) morning. This raid of ED is about the scam going on in the name of providing government jobs to people. Under this, an organized gang used to cheat people in the name of getting government jobs. Fake appointment letters and call letters were being issued to people.
Initially this scam was caught in the name of Indian Railways, but now investigation has revealed that the gang also trapped people in the name of more than 40 government departments and institutions. Which includes many departments including Forest, RRB, Indian Post, Income Tax, High Court, PWD, Bihar Government, DDA, Rajasthan Secretariat.
Some people were given salary for 2-3 months
This gang used to create fake e-mail IDs similar to the names of government departments and send fake joining letters to the victims. To win trust, some victims were even given salary for 2-3 months. Such an environment was created by sending many people to posts like RPF, TTE and Technician. As if he had got a real job. Later, huge amount was collected from them.
In which states raids are taking place
ED is conducting raids in this case in Bihar, Bengal, UP, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Kerala. ED raid is going on in total 15 cities of these 6 states. ED has raided 2 places in Gorakhpur, UP. Apart from this, raids are going on at one place in Allahabad and one place in Lucknow. Raids are being conducted at one place in Muzaffarpur, Bihar and at two places in Motihari.
Information has been received about two hideouts of this gang in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal and raids are going on here. Apart from this, raids are also being conducted in Rajkot.
