YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi in ED’s clutches, even Lamborghini and Mercedes taken away in illegal betting app case

Taking major action in the illegal online betting case of Siliguri, ED has taken famous YouTuber and social media influencer Anurag Dwivedi under investigation. In this case, ED raided 9 locations in Lucknow and Unnao on 17 December 2025, from where many important evidences were recovered.

ED started this investigation on the basis of FIR registered by West Bengal Police. There are allegations related to fraud, forgery and illegal betting in the FIR. Investigation revealed that an online betting panel was being run from Siliguri, which was being operated by accused like Sonu Kumar Thakur and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Anurag used to promote illegal online betting platforms

These people were conducting online gambling and betting through fake bank accounts, Telegram channels and other digital platforms. ED investigation has revealed that YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi played an active and important role in promoting these illegal online betting platforms. Anurag made and shared promotional videos on his social media platforms, for which he received a huge amount. This money was delivered to him through Hawala network, fake accounts and cash delivery.

Anurag bought property in Dubai

According to the investigating agency, a large amount of money came into the bank accounts of Anurag’s companies and his family members, for which no valid business basis was found. ED claims that Anurag Dwivedi bought real estate property in Dubai with the money earned from illegal betting. This investment was also done through Hawala channels. Investigation has also revealed that Anurag has left India and is living in Dubai. ED issued summons to him several times, but till now he has not appeared in the investigation.

4 vehicles including Lamborghini and Mercedes seized

During the search conducted on December 17, ED has found documents and digital evidence which confirm the investments made in Dubai and sending money through Hawala. All this evidence points towards money laundering. ED has seized four vehicles of Anurag Dwivedi, which have been considered as proceedings of crime.

Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes, Ford Endeavor and Mahindra Thar vehicles were seized. ED is now deeply investigating the sources of money, hawala links and foreign assets of this entire network. The agency is also finding out who other people are associated with this illegal betting racket.
