‘A girl wearing hijab will become PM one day’, BJP countered on Owaisi’s statement, know what he said

Asaduddin Owaisi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi emphasized on equal civil rights while comparing the constitutional provisions of India and Pakistan during an event organized in Solapur on Saturday. He said that the Constitution of India gives equal opportunities to every citizen, whereas in the Constitution of Pakistan, religious conditions have been set for the highest post like Prime Minister.

Owaisi said that it is clearly written in the Constitution of Pakistan that only a person of a particular religion can become the Prime Minister, but in the Constitution of India made by Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, it is clearly stated that any citizen of India can become the Prime Minister, Chief Minister or Mayor. He called it the biggest strength of Indian democracy.

Hijab wearing daughter will become Prime Minister: Owaisi

In his address, the AIMIM chief said that his dream is that one day in the future, a daughter wearing hijab becomes the Prime Minister of this country. He said that this dream is not just of an individual but reflects the spirit of the Constitution, which gives equal rights and opportunities to all citizens. Owaisi said that the Constitution of India does not allow any kind of discrimination on the basis of religion, caste or dress.

Appeal to youth and minorities

Owaisi appealed to the youth and minority communities to actively participate in the democratic process. He said that positive change in the society is possible only through education and political awareness. He also said that the diversity of the country is its real identity and it needs to be strengthened, not weakened. Owaisi stressed that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the rights granted by the Constitution and raising voice against discrimination is an important part of democracy.

BJP’s sharp reaction on Owaisi’s statement

After this statement of Owaisi, the political controversy has intensified. Maharashtra government minister Nitish Rane reacted strongly to his statement. Rane said that India is a Hindu nation and women wearing hijab or burqa here will neither become Prime Minister nor Mayor of Mumbai. He also said that those who aspire to such positions should go to Islamic countries.

AIMIM’s counterattack

AIMIM leader Waris Pathan hit back at Nitesh Rane’s remarks. He said that India is not run by the thinking of any person but by the Constitution. Pathan said that according to the Constitution any citizen can become Prime Minister, Governor or Mayor. He clarified that there is nothing wrong in Owaisi’s statement and AIMIM is not afraid of any kind of threats.
