Team India Squad: The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is going to be held in India and Sri Lanka in February next year. A big update has come out regarding when and where Team India will be announced. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a press release saying that the Indian team for the T20 World Cup and the home series against New Zealand will also be announced on December 20, 2025. The names of the players will be told at 1.30 pm. After the announcement of the names of the selected players, captain Suryakumar Yadav and chief selector Ajit Agarkar will also hold a press conference.
When and where will T20 World Cup 2026 be played?
T20 World Cup 2026 will be played for a whole month i.e. from 7th February to 8th March. At the same time, the Indian team is considered a strong contender in this ICC tournament to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Team India is the defending champion. When and where will the home series against New Zealand take place?
New Zealand team is going to tour India in January 2026 to play home white ball series with Team India. This white ball series will be played before the T20 World Cup 2026, in which there will be a total of 8 matches. There will be 3 ODI and 5 T20 International matches in this series, the first 3 ODI matches will be played in this series. The first match will be held in Vadodara on 11 January, the second in Rajkot on 14 January and the third in Indore on 18 January.
After the ODI series, a 5-match T20 series will be played. This series will start from January 21 in Nagpur. The second T20 International match will be played in Raipur on 23 January. The third match will be played in Guwahati on January 25, the fourth T20 International match will be played in Vizag on January 28, while the last T20 International match will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on January 31.
