A minor killed a poor laborer by stabbing him for just ten rupees in the middle of the city. This sensational incident took place at around 11:30 pm on Thursday night near Laukik Bar in Chittinagar under New Pet Police Station area of Vijayawada. It was night time and most of the people were resting in their homes. Meanwhile, a minor named Prasad, who was under the influence of alcohol, was asking for money from people passing on the road when he was short of money to buy liquor.
At the same time, an elderly mechanic named Tatabbai was returning home after finishing his work. The drunk minor asked him for ten rupees. When Tatabbai, tired after working hard all day, refused to give the money, the minor was displeased. A simple refusal took a violent turn in no time.

In anger and intoxication, the blind minor took out the knife he kept with him and attacked Tatabbai. No one was even aware of this incident that happened on a quiet night. Seriously injured Tatabbai fell on the road drenched in blood.
Tatabbai was a resident of Noolkapet area of Mangalagiri in Guntur district. He came to Vijayawada in search of work and used to support his family by working as a mechanic. An ordinary laborer, who had to work hard every day, had no idea that for not paying Rs 10, he would have to pay the price with his life.
Died before reaching the hospital
As soon as information about the incident was received, New Pet Police reached the spot and the injured Tatabbai was immediately taken to the hospital. However, he died before reaching the hospital due to excessive bleeding. Doctors declared him dead.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police immediately started investigation. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby was scrutinized and teams were formed to search for the accused. Meanwhile, a shocking turn in the case came when the accused minor himself reached the police station and surrendered.
