His body was found hanging from the bathroom of the house. The family immediately took him to RN. Tagore was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The wife of the deceased BLO has alleged that Ashok Das was facing constant pressure from the Election Commission regarding the work related to SIR. He said that he was also being put under mental pressure from his neighbours.

Ashok Das’s sister told that a few days ago his brother had informed her about his ill health and also said that his workload was increasing. According to the sister, he also had heart problems. Meanwhile, claims of Trinamool supporters coming to the house have also come to light, due to which the family was under more stress.

Mourning among family members, future of wife and child uncertain

The family is completely devastated by this sudden accident. Ashok Das’s wife is in shock and the question that is constantly bothering her is what will she do with her younger son and how will his future be secured.

The wife says that she often advised her husband to reduce work pressure, but the work of SIR was very heavy. Neighbors also admitted that Ashok Das was a hardworking and calm person and used to do his work with full dedication.
