India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of dense fog today i.e. Sunday and Monday.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy for the next 4 days. Cold wave is being seen in many states including Delhi, UP-Bihar. People’s troubles have increased due to light snowfall in the hilly states. According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog may persist in some parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana till December 21, while the effect of fog will be visible in Punjab and Haryana between December 25 and 27.
Road, rail and air traffic affected
The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain/snowfall in the western Himalayan regions in the next three days, while there may be heavy snowfall at isolated places in Kashmir on December 21. There is a possibility of road, rail and air traffic being affected due to fog and cold.

Today, the Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert regarding dense fog in many plain areas including Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Roorkee and Rishikesh. At the same time, there is a possibility of snowfall in areas at a height of more than 3500 meters.
