All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi termed as wrong the demand for proof of Indian citizenship from a particular community by unauthorized persons in India. Owaisi said that these people have no right to ask for proof of citizenship. He advised the public not to talk to such people.
Asaduddin Owaisi warned that labeling everyone as Bangladeshi without any basis is not only worrisome for India’s strategic interests but would also be a suicidal step by unnecessarily provoking the people of the neighboring country. This will increase further unrest in the country.
‘Caution is necessary in making statements towards the neighboring country’
AIMIM leader Owaisi’s main emphasis was on relations between India and Bangladesh. Taking a dig at BJP, he said that one should be careful in making statements towards the neighboring country. Owaisi argued that whatever is happening in Bangladesh is ‘people’s revolution’ (people’s revolution). He stressed that a stable Bangladesh is extremely important for the security and development of India, especially the North-East.
India suffers loss due to instability in Bangladesh
Owaisi warned that if instability continues in our neighboring country Bangladesh, then forces like Pakistan’s ISI and China, who work against India’s interests, can take advantage of it. He said that we have to think in the interest of the country. There is a long land and sea border of thousands of kilometers between India and Bangladesh. Any kind of instability can pose a threat to the security of our borders.
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi also said in his address that it is very important to rise above politics and focus on the external security of the country and following internal rules.
