Hyderabad News: A big and clear political message has come out from Hyderabad. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has said that every person in the state has complete freedom to follow the religion of his choice, but the government will take strict action against anyone who tries to spread religious hatred, insult other religions or create tension in the society. The Chief Minister warned that to give strict punishment to such people, a new law on the lines of Karnataka will be brought in the Telangana Assembly in this budget session.
Chief Minister’s message at Christmas function
The Chief Minister made this statement during the grand Christmas function organized by the state government at LB Stadium. He participated in this program as the chief guest and wished the Christian community a Merry Christmas. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy spoke in detail on the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ at the official Christmas function held at LB Stadium.
He said that the message of Jesus Christ, “Service to humanity is service to God”, is very important for today’s world. We should love not only our fans but also those who hate us. The Chief Minister said that his government is working inspired by these values and is carrying forward welfare schemes with peace and brotherhood despite any kind of obstruction or propaganda.
December declared the month of miracles
Describing the month of December as special, Revanth Reddy said that this month is a “month of miracles” not only for the Christian community but also for Telangana and the Congress party. He reminded that Sonia Gandhi was born in this month, who formed Telangana state after paying a heavy political price.
He said that when hundreds of people were losing their lives during the Telangana movement, Sonia Gandhi took the historic decision of creating the state. Apart from this, Congress’ “people’s government” was formed in Telangana in December itself, which is a matter of pride for them.
The teachings of Lord Jesus are the inspiration for the government.
The Chief Minister said that his government is working taking inspiration from the teachings of Lord Jesus. Humanity, compassion, equality and love are the foundation of his rule. He said that the aim of the government is not just development but also to take every section along, so that no one feels neglected in the society.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also gave information about major welfare schemes of the government. He said that women are being given the facility of free travel in RTC buses, which has made their everyday life easier. He said that “Indiramma Houses” are being built at a cost of thousands of crores of rupees for poor families who do not have their own houses. Apart from this, up to 200 units of free electricity is being given to 50 lakh families, which has brought light to the homes of the poor.
Appreciation of the role of Christian missionaries in health
CM said that parboiled rice is being distributed to 3 crore 10 lakh poor considering them as part of the family. The government has also taken a big step for the farmers, along with loan waiver, farming has been made like a festival by giving a bonus of Rs 500 on cultivated paddy.
The Chief Minister openly appreciated the contribution of Christian missionaries in the field of education and health. He said that just as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru gave priority to education and irrigation, similarly Christian missionaries provided quality education and health services to the poor. Revanth Reddy said that the work done by missionaries is no less than a war or yagya. He has done social service by working shoulder to shoulder with the government, which is worthy of praise.
Religious hatred will be legally curbed
The Chief Minister said in clear words that there will be no compromise on communal harmony in Telangana. He announced that strict laws will be made against those who spread hatred on religious grounds or insult other religions.
He said that the Congress government in Karnataka has recently implemented such a law and now a law on the same lines will be brought in Telangana in this budget session. The Chief Minister bluntly said that the government will not tolerate religious violence or hatred under any circumstances.
Welfare of minorities is not pity, it is a right
Revanth Reddy said that the welfare schemes being run for minorities are not anyone’s mercy, but their constitutional right. He assured that the problems related to Christian and Muslim cemeteries will be resolved soon.
