President Draupadi Murmu approved Ji Ram Ji Bill, MNREGA became history, employment will now be available for so many days instead of 100 days.

President Draupadi Murmu has approved the Developed India Ji Ram Ji Bill 2025. The government has replaced Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) with Vikas Bharat Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) i.e. VB-G RAM-G Bill 2025. Now after the approval of the President, it has become Ji Ram Ji Law in place of MNREGA.

Was passed in Rajya Sabha on Thursday

Earlier on Thursday, the Bharat Ji Ram Ji Bill 2025, developed amid opposition from the opposition, was passed in the Parliament. Its objective is to provide employment to every rural family for 125 days every year. On this, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had said that Congress killed Bapu’s ideals. Modi government has kept him alive. Chouhan had completely rejected the opposition’s allegations about bringing a new bill in place of the MNREGA scheme and removing Mahatma Gandhi’s name from it.

Discussion took place for 6 hours in Rajya Sabha
This bill was discussed for 6 hours in the Rajya Sabha. It was passed by voice vote after the reply of the Agriculture Minister. Many amendment proposals were brought on this bill, which were rejected by the House. Earlier, the law was also passed in the Lok Sabha.

Based on Narendra Modi’s developed India 2047 vision

Ji Ram Ji Bill is linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developed India 2047 vision. Its objective is to increase employment, livelihood and agricultural productivity in rural areas. In this, the annual employment guarantee has been increased from 100 days to 125 days. Emphasis has been laid on local planning, labor protection and integration of schemes. Its objective is to strengthen rural income security. There is integration of frontline schemes and agricultural employment balance. The government says that this law will promote wage employment opportunities in rural areas. It will also focus on environmental protection and better use of local resources.
