Rohit Sharma told about his biggest sorrow, which he will never be able to forget; Said- I am retiring…

No Indian fan can forget the date of 19 November 2023. On the same day, India lost to Australia by 6 wickets in the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. The truth is that Rohit Sharma had decided to retire after that heartbreaking defeat. Rohit Sharma himself has accepted this. Rohit told that he had given his whole life to win the World Cup.

Rohit Sharma recently said during an event, “Everyone was very disappointed, we were not able to believe what happened. It was a very difficult period for me personally, because I had given my whole life for that World Cup. Not just 2-3 months before the World Cup but since getting the captaincy in 2022.”

Rohit Sharma told that his dream was only to win the World Cup, be it the T20 World Cup or the 2023 ODI World Cup. Rohit further said, “When this dream was not fulfilled, I was devastated. There was no energy left in my body. It took a few months for me to get back to my previous state.”

I don’t want to play cricket…

‘Hitman’ said, “At one time, thoughts started coming in my mind that he no longer wants to continue his cricket career and wants to retire. Because that moment had taken away all my energy and it seemed that there was nothing left in me.” It took some time for him to recover from that difficult phase and just a few months later, in June 2024, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India created history by lifting the T20 World Cup trophy.
