Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has once again been insulted. The final match of Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 was played in Dubai on Sunday, 21 December, in which Pakistan team defeated India by a huge margin of 191 runs. After the match was over, the players of Team India refused to take the medal from Naqvi’s hands. Mohsin Naqvi gave the Under-19 Asia Cup trophy to the Pakistan team with his own hands and then also posed for photographs with the champion team.
Insult of Mohsin Naqvi
Let us tell you that Mohsin Naqvi had reached Dubai during the final match itself to be a part of the presentation ceremony. Naqvi first gave medals to the players of the champion team and then handed over the trophy to Pakistan captain Farhan Yusuf. After this, the Indian players completely ignored Mohsin Naqvi by deciding not to go on the podium. Medals were presented to the Indian team by another official.
The trend of Indian players ignoring Mohsin Naqvi has been going on since the 2025 Men’s Senior Asia Cup. Indian players did not shake hands with Pakistani players in that entire tournament. At the same time, when Team India became the champion by defeating Pakistan in the final, then the Indian team refused to take the Asia Cup trophy from the hands of Mohsin Naqvi. Naqvi still has that trophy.
Pakistan became champion for the first time
This is the first time in the last 36 years that Pakistan has won the Under-19 Asia Cup. Pakistan has been the runner-up of this tournament twice, but in 2025 it has achieved the title of being Asian champion for the first time. In the final, Pakistan, playing first, had scored a huge score of 347 runs, but in reply, Team India was all out for just 156 runs.
