Former Telangana Minister and BRS leader T. Harish Rao, after the SIT’s inquiry, Chief Minister A. There has been a fierce attack on Revanth Reddy. Speaking to the media after appearing before the SIT at Telangana Bhawan on Tuesday (January 20), Harish Rao termed the notice received by him as ‘trash’ and alleged that during the interrogation, calls were being made to the officers from outside.
Harish Rao said that this inquiry is being done as part of a conspiracy. He alleged, “As soon as the officers proceeded for questioning, a call would come from outside, either Revanth Reddy himself or his officers would call.” He clearly said that whatever is written in the notice is false and without any evidence. He said that the government wants to divert public attention from the issues of tender and corruption with its ‘bamardi’ (petty) politics.
What did BRS leaders say about the coal scam?
The BRS leader gave a direct challenge to the Chief Minister and said that if he has strength and courage then he should get the coal scam of Singareni Collieries (SCCL) investigated by a sitting judge of the High Court. Harish Rao claimed that the Ghosh Commission report has also been proved to be fake and the government has no evidence to justify itself. He said that BRS workers are used to agitation and going to jail, so these intimidating methods will not work on them.
Taking his point forward, Harish Rao said that Revanth Reddy should stop sending notices like a ‘Piriki Panda’ (coward) by hiding under the guise of police. He warned that these cases should not scare them, but are a matter of pride for them.
Harish Rao made it clear that he respects the law but hates chiller politics. He said that in the coming time, everyone will be held accountable in the public court and after two years only BRS will return to power and expose all the scams.
