Humayun Kabir, expelled MLA from Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, will launch his new political party today (22 December). He claims that he has huge public support. Humayun Kabir is a suspended MLA of Trinamool Congress from Bharatpur assembly constituency in minority-dominated Murshidabad.
Humayun Kabir will announce his new political party today from Mirzapur, which is very close to Beldanga, where the site of his proposed Babri Masjid is located. Humayun Kabir has called upon Trinamool Congress and all anti-BJP political parties to unite with him and play an important role in ousting the present Trinamool Congress government from power in West Bengal, but to ensure that BJP does not get any chance to grab power.
What did Humayun Kabir say about PM Modi?
Expelled TMC MLA Humayun Kabir said about PM Modi that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the greatest leader and we should respect him. He holds the highest constitutional post. I am just a common man. There should be no comparison with me. He further said that I have been active in politics in this district for 43 years.
‘Also held rallies against police officers’
Humayun Kabir said that I have held big rallies earlier also. They have even protested against the district police officers and gathered lakhs of people in Berhampur. He further said that I have also held rallies with former President Pranab Mukherjee, who was also the Finance Minister, Defense Minister and Foreign Minister at that time. All of them were present on my stage during the meeting.
‘Will contest elections against both BJP and TMC’
Regarding contesting elections and alliance, Humayun Kabir said that for now I will contest elections against both BJP and TMC. All other parties in Bengal including Congress, Communist Party and ISF, if they want to form an alliance with me and fight against BJP and TMC, then they will also fight with me.
