Congress leader Udit Raj on Friday reacted to the statement of former BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur after the Supreme Court’s decision in the Bhojshala case. He said that 99 percent of the temples are built on Buddhist sites. Tirupati, Puri and Kedarnath are Buddhist sites, while Mathura and Kashi have been the centers of Buddhism.
Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur said that there should be a permanent solution for Mathura and Kashi also. On his statement, Udit Raj said, ‘If there is a permanent solution then many temples will be converted into Buddhist monasteries. Tirupati, Puri and Kedarnath are all Buddhist places. Mathura and Banaras remained the centers of Buddhism. If we keep digging after digging, we will not find the remains of Hinduism, we will only find remains of Buddhism.
If Buddhists rule, we will demolish 99% temples: Congress leader
Congress leader Udit Raj said, ‘If Buddhists ever rule, will they demolish 99 percent of the temples built on Buddhist sites?’
Congress leader Udit Raj said while talking to news agency IANS, ‘Buddhist places will be found in most places below temples and mosques. Whatever civilizations have come, whatever kings and kingdoms have come, whatever religions have come, they have brought their own culture, but they (BJP) have taken the contract to destroy India.
He said that a small Hindu temple was built in Bodh Gaya and the attack was carried out. Similarly, attacks have taken place everywhere and on a large scale. The Congress leader further said, ‘Only Buddhist monasteries and statues of Buddha are found in Kashmir. 99 percent of the temples are built on them.
Udit Raj said in a questioning tone, ‘If Buddhist rule comes tomorrow, will Hindus demolish the temples or uproot its foundation?’
Udit Raj also responded to Pragya Singh Thakur’s comment in which the former BJP MP, without taking the name of Rahul Gandhi, said, ‘The son of a foreign mother can never be a patriot.’
The Congress leader said, ‘She is speaking against Indian tradition and Hindu tradition, because he (Rahul Gandhi) is the son of Indian son Rajiv Gandhi.’
Udit Raj also said that Pragya Singh Thakur should get her DNA test done. If their DNA test is done, it will be known that they are foreigners.
