‘Aravalli is the most ancient mountain range of the country…’, Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav gave clarification, know what he said?

These days there is an uproar across the country regarding the Aravalli hills. Now the statement of Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav has also come out on the ongoing discussions regarding this mountain range. He has cleared the confusion regarding this. The Environment Minister has presented his views before the country by holding a press conference. He has clearly said that no relaxation of any kind is being given in the Aravali region. Nor will such relaxation be given in future.

‘Aravalli is the most ancient mountain range of the country’

The Environment Minister said in the press conference that Aravali is the oldest mountain range of the country. The court’s decision came a few days ago. Some people have tried to spread confusion regarding this and have also told various kinds of lies regarding this. A lot has been happening during the time of Congress also. I have looked at the decision seriously. I want to say one thing that Green Aravali has been increased during the time of PM Modi. Udaipur has got the status of credit city in our time.

He said that the court’s decision states that steps should be taken for scientific assessment of Aravali. This includes Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh and Jhajjar in NCR. Mining is not included in NCR.

‘Court constituted technical committee’

He said that the court itself constituted a technical committee regarding Aravali Hills and Aravali. The issue of 100 meters in the decision has been taken from the top to the underground. A 500 meter radius of Aravalli range i.e. mountain range is included. There is no permission for mining in Delhi NCR. The court has said that no new mining approval will be given right now. Aravalli is the core area. This is the 20th Wildlife Century. Aravali has 6-7% residential area. It has 4 tiger reserves and 20 percent forest area. In the decision, the court has appreciated the green project of Aravalli.

What did Bhupendra Yadav say on the court’s decision?
The Environment Minister has expressed full support of the court’s decision on Aravali. It has also been said that the government’s aim is not to stop any kind of development. Rather, the aim is to ensure the protection of natural heritage, environmental balance and future generations. The Union Minister said, this definition decided on the basis of Supreme Court instructions and scientific standards now eliminates all scope for confusion. This will not only stop illegal mining, but will also put a strict ban on activities that harm Aravali.
