On Monday, Delhi and surrounding areas remained in the grip of cold wave. Apart from the capital, there is a possibility of dense fog in UP, Bihar and Rajasthan tomorrow i.e. Tuesday (23 December).
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR is expected to be between 16 to 17 degrees Celsius from December 22-25, while the minimum temperature can be between 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. A warning of dense fog has been issued on all these days. Due to drop in temperature and decrease in wind speed, pollutant particles are accumulating in the atmosphere, due to which the situation of smog is becoming more serious.
When will people get relief in UP?
Dense fog was seen in many areas of Uttar Pradesh on Monday (22 December) morning. Due to this, traffic was also affected. Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of Lucknow Meteorological Center located in Amausi, said that there is a possibility of increase in temperature and slight decrease in the density of fog in the entire state during the next 2-3 days. After this the temperature will drop again and fog will increase.
How is the weather in Rajasthan?
The weather pattern will remain completely dry in Rajasthan after noon today. However, there is a possibility of sunshine in many districts. The effect of cold will also be seen due to cold wind. There was moderate to dense fog in many areas in the morning. Visibility remained normal in the afternoon and the weather is likely to remain stable.

IMD scientist Naresh Kumar said that active western disturbance will affect the north-western part of India in the next 3-4 days. Due to this, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the Himalayan region. Northern parts of Punjab may also receive light rain in the next 3-4 days. Apart from Punjab, there is a possibility of dense fog in Haryana also.
