Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film ‘Akhanda 2’ made a good comeback at the box office on the second Sunday but today on Monday the film has managed to earn the lowest till date.
When the film took a strong opening of Rs 22.5 crores, it seemed that it is going to do wonders and maybe it will surpass the first part ‘Akhanda’ which came in 2021, but what happened is that the film neither seems to come close to its earnings nor is it able to meet its budget.
Box office collection of ‘Akhanda 2’
The film earned Rs 76.75 crore in the first week. But on the 8th day the film’s earnings dropped to Rs 1.7 crore. However, on the 9th and 10th day, the film made a comeback taking advantage of the weekend holidays and was successful in earning Rs 2.55 and Rs 3.45 crore.
Now today, on the 11th day, the film’s earnings have become the lowest. The film has collected only Rs 65 lakh till 10:25 pm. The total collection has been only Rs 85.1 crore. Please note that today’s data is not final. There may be change in this.
Did ‘Avatar Fire and Ash’ spoil the pace?
Anyway, this Telugu film was being seen very rarely in the Hindi belt. Earned only Rs 2 lakh from Hindi on the 10th day because it was difficult to survive in front of a film like ‘Dhurandhar’, but ‘Avatar Fire and Ash’ has harmed Nandamuri’s film in its own territory.
‘Avatar 3’ is earning above Rs 2-3 crore every day from Telugu, which clearly means that the audience who could have gone to watch ‘Akhanda 2’ is giving importance to the Hollywood film after the arrival of the new option.
Budget and worldwide collection of ‘Akhanda 2’
According to Koimoi, the budget of the film is around Rs 200 crores and according to Saknilk, it has made a worldwide collection of Rs 112 crores in 10 days, that is, the film has not been able to clear its budget yet.
