The Chinese Embassy in Delhi has launched ‘Online Visa Application System’ to provide online visa application facility to Indian passport holders. This information was given in a social media report on Monday (22 December 2025). According to Shenzhen-based Chinese online portal Greater Bay Area (GBA), the process is simpler than the previous process, which required applicants to physically submit multiple paper documents.
Earlier, the Chinese Embassy in India had announced on its official social media account ‘WeChat’ that the online visa service system will be started from December 22. The embassy had said that the Chinese online visa application system will be officially launched by the Chinese Embassy in India on December 22, 2025. It said that applicants can visit the website and fill the online form and upload the application materials.
Business Visa for Chinese Professionals
The Greater Bay Area (GBA) reports that eligible applicants can electronically fill out forms, upload documents and undergo biometric processing for tourist (L), professional (M), student (X) and work (Z) visas. Earlier this month, India had taken steps to speed up the process of issuing business visas for Chinese professionals. However, there has been no change in the existing screening process for all Chinese visa applicants.
Big relief for Indian travelers
This step of the Chinese Embassy has brought great relief for Indian travelers. Now the visa application process has become more transparent, faster and convenient. In the coming time, this may lead to an increase in travel and business activities between the two countries.
