‘Big agreement between India and EU’, PM Modi announced free trade agreement, told how it will be beneficial

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the India Energy Week 2026, announced the major Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union (EU). He said that this agreement is a symbol of a strong partnership between the two biggest economies of the world and it will directly benefit India’s industry, energy sector and the common people. PM Modi said that this deal will strengthen India’s manufacturing capacity and will provide new support to the service sector.

India is becoming a big energy economy
PM Modi said that today India has become a big economy in the energy sector. India is moving forward rapidly in areas like renewable energy, oil and gas and is working closely with many countries of the world. The Prime Minister said that in today’s India, improvements are taking place in every sector. Due to these reforms, the investment environment in the country has improved and new employment opportunities are being created.

India Energy Week inaugurated in Goa
This program was inaugurated by Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Goa. Ministers of many countries, industry leaders and policy experts participated in the program. On this occasion, many prominent people including UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant were present.
