Once again a case of alleged theft of cash kept for ATM has come to light in Bengaluru. Just a few months after the CMS cash van robbery scandal, now a big scam related to a payment service company has come to light. It is alleged that Hitachi Payment Services Pvt. Ltd. The employees of the ATM have embezzled more than Rs 57 lakh kept for depositing cash in the ATM.

It is noteworthy that in November 2025, the CMS cash van robbery had shaken the entire country. In that case, people claiming to be RBI officers had looted the cash van in broad daylight. Investigation had revealed that this incident was carried out in a very well-planned manner by former CMS employees along with their associates. Now another similar case has come to light, in which serious allegations have been made against the employees of Hitachi Payment Services, which works for depositing cash in ATMs of SBI and Axis Bank.

Company officials complained to the police

Company officials said in the complaint given to the police that the cash withdrawn from Axis Bank, Koramangala, which was to be deposited in the ATM, was allegedly snatched on the way. An employee of the company has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that four employees, who were responsible for loading cash in the ATM, withdrew an amount of more than Rs 57 lakh at different times. The police have registered an FIR in this matter. The investigating officers suspect that this amount was not embezzled all at once, but gradually and in a planned manner.

Police also say that the company filed the complaint several weeks after discovering the fraud. At present, notices are being issued to interrogate the accused. This case has been registered at Koramangala Police Station. The police have also asked for documents related to the company and complete details of financial transactions, so that the entire truth of the scam can be revealed.
