Education Minister Nityanand Gond has talked about investigation in the matter. He said the Odisha government will investigate the incident of young players from the state being forced to travel in unhygienic conditions in trains for national level tournaments.

When did the controversy start?
The controversy started when at least 18 athletes from Odisha allegedly faced negligence on the part of the school and Jan Shibha department to participate in the 69th National School Wrestling Championship held in Uttar Pradesh. They were forced to sit near toilets in general compartments.
10 boys and 8 girls participated in the championship
