The attack of a tiger on Monday (January 26, 2026) evening in Dattayapalli village of Turkapalli mandal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana created a sensation in the entire area. The fatal attack on a cow in front of a cattle herder has created an atmosphere of fear in the villages located within a radius of 10 to 15 kilometers. After this incident, the Forest Department has issued an alert with immediate effect and has given strict instructions to the people not to come out of their homes after sunset and to stay away from forest areas.
According to eyewitnesses and forest department reports, this entire incident happened around 4 pm on Monday (January 26, 2026). Animal farmer Mr. When Srisailam had gone to graze on the outskirts of the village with his four cows, he suddenly saw two cows running away in a frightened state. When Srisailam returned to that place, the sight there was scary. A cow was lying dead with deep wounds in its neck. Srisailam himself narrowly escaped death, but this scene proved to be a nightmare for him.
Similar incident happened last week also
This incident is not alone, but is part of a series. Just a week ago, an animal had died in Ibrahimpur village, about 6 to 7 kilometers away, after which the forest department had started installing trap cameras. The sighting of the tiger for the second consecutive time has made it clear that this big predator is actively roaming in this area. Forest staff have recovered fresh footprints from the dead cow, which confirm that the attacker is a tiger. Officials believe that the tiger may come back to eat its prey in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Forest department is keeping a close watch on the activity of tiger
As a precautionary measure, the forest department has instructed villagers of Dattayapalli, Ibrahimpur, Turkapalli, Timmapur, Basavapur and Ralla Jangaon to remain safe. The movements of the tiger are being closely monitored by installing additional trap cameras, so that any major untoward incident can be prevented.
