In this regard, the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has given a big statement. In this he has said that the state cabinet will take a formal decision on February 7 regarding action regarding the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi’s alleged links with Pakistan.

Gogoi and his British wife have direct links with Pakistan: CM

Addressing a press conference after the cabinet meeting here, Sarma also said that according to the report submitted by the Special Investigation Team formed to probe the controversial case, Gogoi and his British wife have direct links with Pakistan.

He said, ‘In today’s cabinet meeting we informally discussed the SIT report. A presentation was given, after which all the ministers were shocked to know the truth. Some even commented that how can Tarun Gogoi’s son be like this.

Further action will be decided on 7th February

Sarma said that the Cabinet has decided to bring a formal memorandum on this subject so that further action on this matter can be decided in the next meeting to be held on February 7.

He said, ‘The Cabinet has authorized the Chief Minister to hold a press conference so that the public can be informed about the findings of the SIT report. Some confidential and sensitive information cannot be shared, but most of the facts will be presented to the public.

SIT investigation report will be made public on February 8

The Chief Minister said that a press conference will be organized on February 8 to make most of the investigation reports of the SIT public.

BJP and Assam Chief Minister Sarma are attacking Lok Sabha member Gogoi over his wife’s alleged links with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. A Special Investigation Team investigated the case of alleged interference in India’s internal affairs by Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Shaikh, who was claimed to be linked to Gogoi’s British wife Elizabeth Colburn.
