After this, an official statement was also issued by BCCI. BCCI said that information about whether Bumrah will be able to participate in the remaining two matches of the series or not will be shared at the appropriate time.
BCCI said, “Jasprit Bumrah has returned home due to personal reasons and will not be available for the game. Updates regarding his inclusion in the squad for the remaining matches will be given at the appropriate time.”
Harshit Rana got a chance in place of Bumrah
Harshit Rana was included in the playing 11 in place of Bumrah, who took 2 wickets for 34 runs in his 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly, he gave only 13 runs in 4 overs and took 2 wickets.
