Team India won the match by 7 wickets and made it to the finals. Now Team India will play the 10th final of the Under-19 World Cup. The Men in Blue had a target of 311 runs, which they easily achieved in 41.1 overs. This was the biggest chase in the history of Under-19 World Cup. Earlier in 2006, New Zealand had achieved a chase of 305 runs against Ireland. Now India broke this world record and made it to the finals.

In the second semi-final, Afghanistan, batting first, scored 310 runs for 4 wickets on the board in 50 overs. Faisal Shihanozada played the biggest innings for the team and scored 110 runs in 93 balls with the help of 15 fours. Apart from this, Uzairullah scored 101* runs in 86 balls by hitting 12 fours and 2 sixes. During this period, Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chauhan took maximum 2-2 wickets for India.
