A very shocking incident has come to light in the North East Division of Bengaluru, here a thief has said in the complaint lodged with the police that when he went to steal, people beat him up. Sampighaalli police have registered a case under Indian Code of Justice (BNS), 2023 (section 118 (1)) and started investigation.

Complainant Ajgar Khan lives with his family in RT Nagar and drives an auto-rickshaw. The complainant admitted to being in the habit of smoking and drinking alcohol and told the police that his auto earnings alone were not enough to meet the expenses of liquor and cigarettes. That is why he steals junk along with people named Razak and Shyam so that he can sell it and buy liquor.

Police registered a case

According to the case registered with the police, on January 31, 2026, at around 9:30 pm, the complainant, Razak and Shyam went in an auto-rickshaw to a house opposite Provident Apartment on Chokkanahalli Main Road. When the complainant was scaling the compound wall to steal electrical items, a man and a woman came out of the house and stopped him. The complainant attacked both of them and also called the other two accused Razak and Shyam. All three of them together attacked the family members.

During the scuffle, Razak hit the man on the head with a beer bottle. The woman’s cheek was also hurt by glass fragments from the broken bottle. When the woman screamed, neighbors started gathering, after which Razak and Shyam fled in an auto-rickshaw. One of the people who came to the spot hit the python on its head with a piece of wood, due to which its head burst.

The complainant subsequently received medical treatment at the hospital. Thief Azgar Khan has demanded legal action against the person who attacked him while he was trying to steal. Police is investigating.
