Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat gave a blunt statement after the trade deal between India and America and said that we cannot remain isolated from the world, but if we do transactions, we will do so as per our own wish. We will not do it under anyone’s pressure, nor will we take decisions after seeing the tariff.
He said that whatever purchase we make will strengthen the economy of our country. We should adopt Swadeshi. Where there is no alternative and no way other than abroad, foreign goods can be adopted.
What did Mohan Bhagwat say about the tariff?
Addressing a lecture series organized on the occasion of completion of 100 years of Sangh Yatra in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, on Saturday (February 7, 2026), Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said, ‘At the policy level, we say that transactions have to be done in international trade. The policy is going on slowly. The policy changes and will move forward at its own pace, but at our home level we will implement Swadeshi.
There are four types of Hindus in India – Sangh chief
Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that we will become Vishwa Guru, but not just through speeches, but through examples. If you are an Indian then you have inherited this skill. He said, ‘There are four types of Hindus in India. First, those who say with pride that we are Hindus. Secondly, those who say that we are Hindus, so what? What is there to be proud of in this? Thirdly, those who say, ‘Speak softly that we are Hindus’ and finally, fourthly, those who have forgotten that we are Hindus or who have been forced to forget that they are actually Hindus.’
