Delhi Police has taken cognizance of information surfaced on social media and some news forums, in which it was claimed that a pre-print copy of a book named ‘Four Stars of Destiny’ is circulating online. It was told that this book has not yet received the necessary approval for publication from the concerned authorities.
Investigation revealed that PDF of a typeset book with the same name is available on some websites. Not only this, the final cover of the book is also being shown on some online marketing platforms, as if the book is ready for sale.
Case registered on suspicion of PDF leaking
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Delhi Police has registered a case in the Special Cell regarding the possibility of this alleged leak or publication without permission. Police say that the entire matter is being thoroughly investigated and it will be found out how and who put the PDF online.
During the discussion on the motion of thanks on President Draupadi Murmu’s address, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi mentioned excerpts from the unpublished book of former Army Chief Manoj Naravane, which was strongly opposed. While presenting this book in front of the media, he claimed that our army wanted to attack the Chinese tanks because they had entered the Indian border.
Uproar in Parliament over Naravane’s book
Rahul Gandhi further said, ‘Former Army Chief Naravane clearly wrote in his book that I really felt very lonely. The whole system had abandoned me. The Congress MP also said that if the Prime Minister comes to the Lok Sabha, he will personally hand over this book to him. There was a lot of debate in the House regarding this issue.
During this time, efforts by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to maintain order in the House completely failed, because the Congress party remained adamant on the demand of citing Naravane’s memoirs, while the government strongly opposed it, calling it a drama. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah replied to Rahul Gandhi in the House on this issue.
