There was chaos regarding the SpiceJet flight going from Mumbai to Goa. Here the company kept the passengers inside the plane for more than 90 minutes without AC. Angered by this, passengers trolled the company fiercely on social media and called it a metal oven. Also, now questions have arisen regarding the safety of people in this matter. Its video is also viral on social media.
The company gave clarification on the whole matter
A statement has come out from the airline. A company spokesperson said that on February 9, 2026, SpiceJet flight SG 1082 from Goa to Mumbai was ready for departure at its scheduled time. However, the plane could not take off due to traffic at Mumbai airport. The AC remained on the whole time. However, some passengers may face problems due to the hot and humid weather of Mumbai. Safety and comfort of passengers is our biggest priority. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers.
Leader of Uddhav group had raised the matter on social media
This whole matter came to light when Uddhav group leader Ambadas Danve had written on X that he was suffocating. If anything happens who will be responsible? Tagging the post company, he wrote that absolutely poor professionalism from flyspicejet. Passengers of flight SG1082 have been stuck in the plane without air conditioning for more than 90 minutes. This is a metal oven. No flight. If a passenger has any heat-related health problem, who will take responsibility?
Absolutely pathetic “professionalism” from @flyspicejet. Passengers on flight SG1082 (BOM-GOX) have been stuck on the aircraft for 90+ mins with NO AIR CONDITIONING.
This is a metal oven, not a flight. If a passenger suffers a heat-related health crisis, who is taking… pic.twitter.com/8IymobDwd5— Ambadas Danve (@iambadasdanve) February 9, 2026
He further wrote that now is not the time to just watch. Take strict action against this blatant violation of security. Apart from this, he also tagged the official handle of the airport. Also tagged a video in his post.
Passengers demanded the government to take legal action
Here, the passengers also appeared angry. He has demanded the government to take legal action. This incident has happened at a time when DGCA claims to make strict rules regarding the facilities of passengers. Such incidents are not stopping.
