The anger of BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind was worth seeing when the police and polling staff were performing their duty at a polling booth in Nizamabad during the Municipal Corporation elections in Telangana on Wednesday (February 11, 2026). Amidst the huge crowd and tense atmosphere, the MP used abusive language against the officers present on the spot. Looking at him it seemed as if he could go to any extent to save his party’s agents.
He even directly addressed the policemen as ‘Useless Fellows’ and asked angrily, ‘Have the policemen gone to their heads?’ Actually, this whole matter came to light when the police tried to stop someone inside the polling booth.
People made photos and videos of the incident viral
A video of this incident has also gone viral on social media, in which it can be clearly seen how the MP was not able to control himself. He threatened in the presence of the polling staff that if any policeman or officer sends his people out of the booth, then drag them out.
U need gutsy leader like @Arvindharmapuri to stand up against the ruling party’s bullying tactics. I’m sure he delivered Nizamabad Municipal Corporation with comfortable majority. pic.twitter.com/OeZ2s9iRgD

Voters present at the polling booth have shared pictures and videos of this incident, in which Arvind’s aggressive attitude is clearly visible. He became so angry at the officers that he did not even hesitate in abusing them.
MP Dharmapuri Arvind has been embroiled in controversies in the past also.
However, this is not the first time that Dharmapuri Arvind is surrounded by controversies. He is known for his aggressive and outspoken style in Telangana politics. Even during the last elections, he has been accused of threatening the administrative staff. Nizamabad being his own seat, he always wants to maintain his dominance here, but this time his hooligan attitude seems to be costing him heavily. This incident happened when voting for Telangana Municipal Corporation elections was in full swing and every party was trying to ensure its victory.
Insulting the administration during elections challenges the system.
This behavior of a public representative is not at all befitting a democracy. Threatening and insulting the policemen who enforce the rules of the Election Commission in this way is like directly challenging the system. This incident has once again raised questions whether political power should be used to intimidate officials?
