‘Budget 2026 shows India’s aspiration to become a developed nation’, said PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big statement in the Parliament regarding the Union Budget 2026-27 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He said that this Union Budget reflects India’s strong aspiration to become a developed nation. He described this budget as a strong message that we are completely prepared.

In an interview given to news agency PTI, PM Modi said that this budget is not a ‘now or never’ opportunity born out of compulsion, rather it is a ‘we are ready’ moment born out of preparation and inspiration. He said that many important announcements have been made in India’s Union Budget 2026 to accelerate development in the areas of infrastructure, power, renewable energy and technology. These measures are expected to increase demand in the capital goods sector.

Domestic manufacturing will benefit with EPC companies: PM Modi

The Prime Minister said that the budget proposals are likely to benefit engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies as well as the domestic manufacturing sector. This will reduce the cost of construction and increasing competition will strengthen these sectors.
