Karan Tacker was once counted among the top actors of TV. After earning name on the small screen, the actor thought of turning towards Bollywood. However, it was not at all easy for him. For many years he has been trying to make a name in the film industry.
But, they are facing many kinds of problems. Apart from this, he also had to face a lot of discrimination in the industry. Karan Taker has recently revealed this during an interview. In an interview given to Variety India, Karan said that because he was a TV actor, he was not cast as a lead actor in films.
TV actor will not get lead role
He tried a lot for the lead role, but it did not work out because he is a TV actor. Karan said, ‘Believe me, it has been five and a half years since I have been working on OTT for so long. If I had not got the support of Neeraj Pandey, perhaps no platform would have been ready to work with me, nor would anyone have wanted to work with me. Being a TV actor, everyone has a bias towards me. Everyone clearly says that if you are a TV actor, you will not get a lead role in films. In such a situation, there was a lot of opposition.
The actor further said that in such situations there is always someone who trusts him. This is why he has developed so much patience. Karan said that there have always been such people in his life, because of whom work has progressed slowly. Even today in the industry, there is a lot of opposition and wrong ideas about TV actors. Karan said that I believe that unless all this changes, it will take time for many actors like me to move forward.
