Nepal vs Scotland Scorecard: Nepal has defeated Scotland by 7 wickets in a thrilling match. Nepal team said goodbye to T20 World Cup 2026 with a big victory. Deependra Singh Eri scored a stormy half-century, due to which Nepal scored 71 runs in the last 32 balls. Both these teams were already out of the World Cup. West Indies and England have entered Super-8 from Group C.

In this match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Nepal won the toss and chose to bowl first. Michael Jones played a strong half-century of 71 runs for Scotland, who came to bat first. Apart from him, no other batsman could score big. Scotland had scored 170 runs.

Chasing the target of 171 runs, Nepal got a good start by Kushal Bhurtel and Asif Shaikh by making an opening partnership of 74 runs. Bhurtel contributed 43 runs and Asif contributed 33 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel was out after scoring only 16 runs.

Deependra Singh Eri created havoc

At one time Nepal’s score in 14 overs was 100/3 and they had to score 71 runs in the last 6 overs to win. After this, the bat of Deependra Singh Eri created such havoc that Nepal chased the target in just 4 balls. He had completed fifty in just 23 balls. Eri returned unbeaten after scoring 50 runs. Apart from him, Gulshan Jha remained unbeaten after scoring 24 runs.
