Chasing the target of 171 runs, Nepal got a good start by Kushal Bhurtel and Asif Shaikh by making an opening partnership of 74 runs. Bhurtel contributed 43 runs and Asif contributed 33 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel was out after scoring only 16 runs.

After this, the bat of Deependra Singh Eri created such havoc that Nepal chased the target in just 4 balls. He had completed fifty in just 23 balls. Eri returned unbeaten after scoring 50 runs. Apart from him, Gulshan Jha remained unbeaten after scoring 24 runs.
