Film director-producer Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming web series ‘Sangmarmar’ is going to be streamed soon. The trailer of the multi-generational family drama series has been released on Tuesday. Actor Saurabh Jain and actress Sean Savita Das are in lead roles in the series.
Its story in the 1 minute 48 second trailer is quite impressive. It depicts the story of a girl whose life is completely changed by a big decision. When Amrita reaches a difficult point in her life, she chooses the responsibilities of her family over her personal happiness and growing love with Aditya. The emotions of family, love, compromise and waiting have emerged deeply in the trailer.
Director-producer Sooraj Barjatya gave his reaction regarding the series. He said, “‘Sangmarmar’ is the story of families that are around us. It shows relationships in a very true and real form, with love, misunderstandings, waiting and trying to be with each other. The biggest part of this story is patience. It shows how much time can challenge relationships and how it can also heal them. It was a great experience for me to work together with Jio Studios and Jio Hotstar. We were able to tell this story in such an honest and true way. We are delivering it to the audience as we wanted.”
The series is directed by Vikram Ghai. In the series, Sheen Savita Das has played the character of a girl named Amrita. Talking about her character, she said, “The entire story of the series revolves around Amrita and many big decisions rest on her shoulders. While playing this character, I got used to choosing her responsibilities the most. She gives priority to responsibility more than her happiness. As an actress, I found this struggle very real. Living Amrita’s journey was like a personal experience for me. I had to feel her silence, compromises and quiet strength. Working with Sooraj Barjatya was one of my biggest joys. It was a huge opportunity for him. His stories have changed the way we all look at family and relationships.”
Smita Bansal, who is seen in the role of Vasudha, said, “Vasudha is the emotional backbone of the family. She handles everything with quiet love and strength. Her presence may be small, but she has a deep impact on Amrita’s life and decisions.
