Most Android users think that by installing fingerprint lock, the phone and data becomes secure. Actually this does not happen. That’s why Google has been adding security features one after the other in Android for some time now. One of these features is advanced protection. This feature is very powerful, but because it is hidden in the settings, most people do not pay attention to it. Today we will know what this feature does and how it is enabled.
What is Advanced Protection?
Advanced Protection was introduced in Android 16 and protects your device from online threats, malicious apps, unauthorized device access, and other threats. It has been designed for users who have sensitive data, who travel frequently and who need strong defense for their devices.
What are the benefits of this feature?
As soon as this feature is enabled, many safety settings are applied simultaneously. This feature activates theft detection and offline device lock. Similarly, it blocks sideloading, which keeps the device safe from dangerous apps. If this feature is on then no one will be able to transfer data through it with the help of USB. Talking about its another safety feature, it does not allow the phone to connect to the 2G network which is considered the weakest in terms of security, which makes it difficult to hack the phone etc. Overall, it blocks all the paths through which your Android phone can be hacked.
How to enable?
First of all, install the latest Android 16 version on your phone. After this, go to Settings and go to Security and Privacy section. Here you will see the option of Advanced Protection. Tap on it and turn on the device protection toggle. After this tap on Turn On once for confirmation. Then restart the phone when the prompt appears. This feature will be enabled in your phone after restarting.
