Tamil Nadu: Husband and wife were returning from condolence meeting, crushed by car on the way, were riding a scooter, died

Tamil Nadu News: A husband and wife died in a car accident near Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu while returning home after attending a condolence meeting. According to the information, P. Mahalingam, 67, resident of Vallam Vallalar Street, was a farmer. His 62 year old wife was Mahalakshmi. Both of them went to a relative’s house in Sellanpettai on their scooter yesterday morning to attend a condolence meeting. Later in the evening they were returning home.

Let us tell you that while turning at Vallam Junction, a car coming from Kerala towards Thanjavur hit the scooter driven by Mahalingam. Due to which Mahalakshmi was thrown into the air and died on the spot and Mahalingam got injured.

Mahalingam died on the way

On receiving the information, Vallam police reached the spot and took Mahalingam by ambulance to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital for treatment, but Mahalingam died on the way. After this, Vallam police registered a case against the car driver S., 23, of Thiruvananthapuram. Arjun has been arrested and interrogated.

3 injured in collision with government bus

Meanwhile, news of another incident has come out from Thanjavur, where three people were injured when a government city bus lost control at Mary’s Corner bus stop. Among the passengers standing in the bus shelter, 54-year-old Durairaj of Keelwasal, his 17-year-old son Abhishek and 23-year-old Sonali were injured. In the accident, Durairaj’s two-wheeler got stuck under the bus and the shelter of the bus stop was also damaged. The injured were immediately admitted to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital through 108 ambulance. Police have started investigation into both the accidents and are investigating the matter thoroughly.
