When India announced that Rafale fighter jet would be made in India, there was a major breach in the security of the manufacturing plant of this aircraft in France. Here an employee has been caught who was working with a camera in his glasses, which is not allowed. Preparations are being made to register a case related to national security against the accused employee.
Burglary in Rafale fighter jet plant
Rafale 4.5 generation is one of the world’s modern fighter jets. Being an omni-role fighter jet, this aircraft is also capable of launching nuclear weapons. Apart from this, Rafale’s (ISA) radar, missiles and other avionics are considered to be of very high quality. Integration of missiles and other weapons of any fighter aircraft is considered very important. This is the reason why Rafale manufacturing company Dassault has handed over its employee to the French police, considering the espionage incident as very sensitive.
Approval to make Rafale under Make in India
This incident has come to light when the Defense Ministry of India had given approval for making 114 Make in India Rafale. Apart from India and France, Rafale fighter jets are also operated by countries like UAE and Egypt. Recently, Indonesia also made a big deal with France to buy Rafale. French President Emmanuel Macron is currently on a tour of India. Before his visit, the Defense Ministry had given approval to make Make in India Rafale fighter jet in India.
Fighter aircraft like Rafale will give the Air Force the power to launch long-range, precise attacks on the enemy. According to the proposal of the Defense Ministry, India will directly purchase 18 Rafale aircraft from the French company Dassault Aviation. The remaining 96 aircraft will be made in India only. Some of these aircraft will be two-seater, which will be used for training pilots.
India-France cooperation is unlimited: Rajnath Singh
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the cooperation between India and France is unlimited and there is no limit to the mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries. He further said that we witnessed an important milestone in the India-France partnership when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated the final assembly line of H125 helicopters through digital medium.
