AI Impact Summit 2026: PM Modi presented MANAV vision in India AI Summit, said – ‘AI is the future, responsibility is necessary’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam. During this, he described the summit as one of the world’s largest and historic AI summit and welcomed all the delegates on behalf of 140 crore Indians.

The Prime Minister said that more than 100 countries are being represented in this summit. Experts, policy makers and young participants from different parts of the world are giving new heights to this event. He said that this summit is being held in India, which represents almost one-sixth of humanity. India is home to the world’s largest youth population, home to the largest tech talent pool and a prime example of a tech-enabled ecosystem.

AI will decide the future- Prime Minister

The Prime Minister said that the direction in which AI will be taken forward today will decide the future. The journey from machine learning to learning machines is fast, deep and wide. Therefore, the vision should be big and the responsibility should also be equally big. He said that the real question is not what AI can do in the future, but for what purpose and in what direction we are using Artificial Intelligence at present.

It is necessary to make AI human centric – Prime Minister

The Prime Minister said that it is necessary to make AI from machine centric to human centric. The basic objective of this Global AI Impact Summit is to make it sensitive, responsible and ethical. He said that India looks at AI in the spirit of common good and happiness of all. It is necessary to ensure that humans do not become just data points or raw resources for AI. Therefore, AI must be democratized and made a medium for inclusion and empowerment, especially for countries in the Global South.

Prime Minister presented MANAV vision

While presenting the MANAV vision, the Prime Minister said that MANAV means human. In this, M means moral and ethical system, A means accountable governance system, N means national sovereignty, second A means accessible and inclusive system and V means valid and reliable framework.

There are two types of people in the world today – Prime Minister

The Prime Minister said that there are two types of people in the world today. One is those who see fear in AI and the other are those who see future and opportunities in AI. He said that India does not see fear in AI, but future and destiny and with this belief, India is taking AI forward as a means of human-centric development.
