India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain warning from Himachal Pradesh to Uttarakhand. Today on Friday (February 20), apart from Dehradun, Nainital, there may be rain in many parts of Himachal. There is a possibility of rain in Shimla, Kangra, Kinnaur and Solan on 23 February.
Delhi weather
The cold has already disappeared in the capital Delhi. Now the feeling of cold in the morning and evening has stopped. The Meteorological Department has not issued any rain alert in Delhi today Friday (20 February). According to IMD forecast, the weather will be clear in the capital today and the temperature will also increase. With the increase in temperature, Delhi’s air is also becoming cleaner. The minimum temperature in Delhi today is expected to be 14 degrees Celsius.
Temperature will rise in UP
The weather will be completely clear in UP today and the mercury will also rise in some districts. The cold has increased due to the rain on Wednesday, but the temperature may increase from today. However, cold is still being felt in the morning and evening in some districts. Today, mild cold may be felt in the morning in Gorakhpur, Deoria, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Bijnor, Jhansi, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Bareilly and Meerut.
There were dense clouds in Ghaziabad and Noida on Thursday morning and light drizzle was recorded at some places. Strong winds also blew during the day, due to which the weather remained pleasant but normal. Due to the effect of western disturbance, an increase of more than five degrees Celsius was recorded in the night temperature in the capital Lucknow. The minimum temperature recorded on Wednesday night was 16.8 degrees Celsius, which is 5.5 degrees above normal. On Thursday, the day temperature reached 29.5 degrees Celsius, due to which a slight heat was felt in the afternoon.
Chance of rain due to western disturbance
Atul Singh, senior scientist of Lucknow Meteorological Center, said that due to the active western disturbance in Central Pakistan and the adjoining Punjab region, cyclonic circulation has formed, which has affected the weather of the state. Due to the movement of clouds, an increase in the minimum temperature was recorded. However, with the effect of western disturbance reducing in the next 48 hours, it is possible for the night temperature to drop by 2 to 4 degrees.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of light rain in many parts of the state today. After this the weather will start clearing, but the temperature will continue to rise gradually. Between February 22 and 24, light rain with thunderstorms and winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are expected in some areas.
Bihar weather
Next week is going to be very hot in Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department, due to change in weather in many districts, people are going to be troubled by the heat. Apart from the capital Patna, the mercury is also going to rise in Gaya, Jehanabad, East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Munger, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Begusarai, Samastipur and Darbhanga.
