In his career spanning more than five decades, Rajinikanth had worked only in this Bengali film. It is noteworthy that in the 1995 film ‘Bhagya Devta’ directed by famous choreographer Raghuram, Mithun Chakraborty played the lead role of Jagdish Mandal, a warrior fighting for the poor. Interestingly, Rajinikanth and Mithun had previously worked together in the 1989 Hindi film ‘Bhrashtachar’, which was their first on-screen collaboration.
