PM Modi Israel Visit: Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel! Big deal can be done on many weapons including anti-ballistic missile

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going on a two-day visit to Israel on 25-26 February. Before this tour, there are preparations to further strengthen the defense and strategic cooperation between India and Israel. Both the countries together want to increase work on new defense technology. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on security cooperation is expected to be signed during this visit. However, no major defense deal will be signed, because defense cooperation is already going on between the two countries. This cooperation is believed to be worth around 10 billion dollars in the coming years.

According to the news of Hindustan Times, Israel is ready to provide new defense technology to India. This includes laser based defense systems, long range missiles and drones. It is being told that this time Israel can also share such technology which it had not given earlier. India and Israel can work together on anti-ballistic missile defense system. This is an important part of India’s Mission Sudarshan, whose objective is to protect the country from enemy long-range missiles. Israel has strong defense systems like Arrow, David Sling and Iron Dome.

India is also considering purchasing long-range missiles and drones that can strike deep inside enemy territory. India has already used Rampage missiles and other weapons. The Navy is also considering purchasing a new version of the Barak missile system to protect its ships.

Cooperation in other areas also

Apart from defence, both the countries will also discuss on science, agriculture, clean water and new technologies like quantum computing. Good relations are considered between PM Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Both countries have similar views against terrorism.
