It has been a month since Sunny Deol starrer ‘Border 2’ was released in theatres. Meanwhile, this war drama maintained a good hold at the box office despite tough competition from many new films. How much did ‘Border 2’ earn on the 29th day of its release?
It is praiseworthy that the film directed by Anurag Singh and starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty is maintaining its hold despite the crowded ticket window. However, this film is getting competition from the one week old O Romeo and now the new releases Do Deewane Shehr Mein and Assi, due to which its viewership has reduced considerably and its earnings have also reduced. However, it has earned huge money in 29 days of its release and has also acquired the tag of being the biggest film of the year so far.
- Amidst all this, if we talk about the film’s earnings, ‘Border 2’ collected Rs 224.25 crore in the first week, Rs 70.15 crore in the second week, Rs 23.35 crore in the third week and Rs 6.6 crore in the fourth week.
- Now, according to Sacknilk’s early trend report, ‘Border 2’ has earned Rs 0.3 crore after a decline of 45.45 percent on the 29th day of its release.
- With this, the total earning of ‘Border 2’ in 29 days has now reached Rs 324.65 crore.
Will ‘Border 2’ be able to make Rs 350 crore?
‘Border 2’ earned a lot in the three weeks of its release in theatres. But since the fourth week its earnings have continued to decline drastically. Due to all the new release films, ‘Border 2’ has now become a victim of recession. Although it is still earning, it has now become impossible for this film to cross the figure of Rs 350 crore in India. Actually, to achieve this feat, ‘Border 2’ still needs to earn Rs 26 crore more. But ‘Border 2’ is now limited to lakhs, hence it is not possible for it to cross this figure.

‘Border 2’ is directed by Anurag Singh. This film is the sequel to 1997’s Border directed by JP Dutta. Apart from Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Mona Singh have played important roles in ‘Border 2’. This film was released in theaters on 23 January.
