Taking a major action in Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu, Delhi Police has arrested six people. They are accused of posting online material in support of Pakistan based terrorist organizations. According to sources, intelligence was received about some persons in Tirupur sharing extremist and terrorist supporting content on social media. After this, a special team of Q Branch of Delhi Police reached Tiruppur for investigation.
According to ANI, during the investigation, the police arrested six suspects from different places. Of these, two accused were arrested from Uthukuli, three from Palladam and one from Thirumuruganpundi area. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused were allegedly using fake Aadhaar cards to hide their identities. Through these documents, he was employed in the garment industry of Tirupur. The names of six accused arrested from Tamil Nadu by Delhi Police are Mizanur Rahman, Mohammad Shabat, Omar, Mohammad Liton, Mohammad Shahid and Mohammad Ujjwal. In this case, two more accused have been arrested from West Bengal. In this way, Delhi Police has arrested a total of 8 people so far.

Delhi Police team has seized 8 mobile phones and 16 SIM cards from the accused. Forensic examination of electronic devices will be done so that the network and possible contacts can be traced.
