What is the purpose of the trip?
This visit of Prime Minister Modi is considered important in many ways. During his visit, PM Modi will address the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. He will also visit the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem and participate in an innovation event organized in Jerusalem.
There will also be high-level talks between the two leaders, in which important issues like Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, infrastructure and defense cooperation will be discussed. This visit is taking place after PM Modi’s first visit to Israel in 2017. That historic tour gave a new direction to the relations between the two countries.
