When he was arrested and went to jail, he committed fraud in that jail too and issued an order for the transfer of the jail superintendent through a fake letter in the name of Minister Mata Prasad Pandey. When he came out on bail, he tried to bribe the Gonda SP to sell beef. The then SP of Gonda, Navneet Rana, collected evidence against Ashwini and cow smuggler Majeed Hasan through a sting and registered a case of cow smuggling. He also raped a woman, against whom a case has been registered. Ashwini is registered as a history-sheeter in the Shamli police records, facing cases like fraud, occupation of government land and many other cases, whose number is 76A. According to this history sheet, a total of 27 cases are registered against Ashwini, which are registered in districts like Shamli, Gonda, Muzaffarnagar and Lucknow.
